I don’t see any reason why not...it’s just regular clean sand.

We used it in a sand box for our grandsons. We just have a Rubbermaid box with sand in it for them to play. We needed about 3/4 of the bag.

It says Play sand. So I am assuming that this would be food grade style sand if it's meant for children to play in??? Can any one tell me for sure? Thank you.

Honestly we expected the sand would be more clean...its very very fine, powdery like flour so it sticks to everything. I would have rather had something more the texture of beach sand as he has to bath every time he comes out of his sand box!

Is this sand appropriate for a bedding layer for 16 x 16 patio stones?

The only thing is that bags trend to be leaky so one had to be changed in store and I tried one to make sure but my car still end up with some sand as I still had a leaky bag. So line your trunk and check before leaving store to make sure. Sand is great to play and our turtle sandbox was ok with 4 bags afterall. They seemed small at first but filled it well. Only complaint is packaging to not leak. Sealing seems to be the issue not the plastic thickness.

It's very dusty sand and it makes my kids dirty. The dust goes into their eyes. I was hoping it will be bigger grain sand like the one playgrounds have. Not what I expected at all...
